Congratulations Orange County Tar Heels!!

Players, coaches, and volunteers--what a wonderful job you all did at our opening games on August 26th as we kicked off OCPW's inaugural season. OCPW cannot be more proud! Thanks to all the volunteers; you all worked hard and it was greatly appreciated. We couldn't have pulled it off without your help!!

Overall, out of around 500 spectators for all five of our games, we only had one incident of poor family sportmanship . We apologize to anyone that was offended by their behavior. We hope that the problem has been remedied with no future recurrences. We, parents, must remember that we are there for the kids because they want to experience the wonderful game of football. We're trying to teach to children to be models to others both on and off the field and in doing so we must lead by example.

If anyone has comments or suggestions for the coaches, please feel free to talk with the coaches in an appropriate setting (no children around especially) at an appropriate time in a respectful manner just as you'd like someone to talk to you. We not only want players to enjoy playing the game but OCPW wants family and friends to enjoy being spectators as well. Please remember that OCPW is one organization, currently a "family" of five teams and their families. What affects one, can affect others.

On a ligher note...although our scores did not reflect the efforts of our players and coaches, OCPW IS VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL!!! You should be proud of your effort and sportsmanship exhibited in your games. As you all continue to practice and learn together, OCPW's teams will only become better as the season progresses. Remember, 3/4 of the entire organization (currently with 100 players to date) have never played organized football and some haven't even played recreational football. Keep up the good teamwork and hard work!!!
